Winterizing Shay No. 6

Be it not said that the management of the WCNG doesn't listen to the complaints of its employees!

We are all familiar with Shay No6, shown above, a sweet machine with a wonderful plantation type cab, at least wonderful when its NOT between October and April in them thar hills. Pursuant to complaints form the Enginemen, She was run into the shops, and a winter make over took place! Not only was she converted to burn coal, she was equipped with an enclosed cab, and front and rear pilot plows to help keep the line clear for revenue service as shown below!

The Fuel load is made from Real Coal secured with white glue Whilst the front and rear plows were fabricated from brass and styrene, and were inspired by Shay No1, of the WV Pulp &

Paper, Mower Lumber, and most recently Cass Scenic RR!
